The National Aquarium, Qawra Point Beach and Bugibba Beach (perfect for soaking up the sun) are both a 15-minute walk from the apartment. For history enthusiasts, the imposing Bugibba Battery is a 15-minute walk away and offers a glimpse into Malta's military past and a short drive (20 minutes) will take you to the ancient Megalithic Temples of Malta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the historic city of Mdina. The area is a popular tourist resort with many bars, clubs and restaurants. The town is also home to many water sports including, kayaking, snorkelling and diving and visitors can also enjoy banana boat rides, speed boats and jet ski rides. The nearest supermarket is next door, while the nearest bus stop is a 5-minute walk from the holiday home. Malta's typical Mediterranean climate is sunny with an average daily sunshine of five to six hours in mid-winter and 12 hours in summer, with over 300 days of sunshine and warm weather. Summers are hot, dry and very sunny. Its remarkably mild winters and intense blue skies make it an ideal place for long walks in the lush, green countryside.
